Balancing Stress and Life
What stresses you out?
For me, it is the daily grind, the feeling that I am biting off more than I can chew often getting this sense of failure when I don’t accomplish all 1,005 things on my to-do list.
Why do we do it? Why do we feel like we are indestructible until we have that first breakdown? I feel that as parents stress and tension has become so entrenched in our day-to-day lives that we often don't recognize it anymore. Often blaming the stress and tension on everything around us instead of taking a look at what is going on within us.
I can honestly say, since having my son almost a year ago, I have felt stress and tension like never before. It’s like walking on a tightrope with no net underneath me to catch me, forcing me to leave little to no room for error.
Over the last several weeks, I began to learn to let go, I call friends, disconnect from this insane digital world we live in or simply doing something fun has gotten me out of my stress/tension slump.
So why not take a step back and enjoy our live sanity?
I know that saying something and doing it are two different things, but what is really holding us back from taking on less and enjoying a bit of simplicity every once in a while?
