SpaCatchi Giveaway: Win a Mani/Pedi at The Exclusive Park Avenue Spa - {CLOSED}

Calling all New York City and Tristate mamas who love to be pampered! A little more than a week ago, I was provided with the opportunity to visit SpaCatchi, a premiere Park Avenue house of beauty located in New York City known for meeting beauty needs all under one roof by offering spa treatments, cosmetic/aesthetic surgery, and hair styling among other services. From the minute I walked through the doors I felt like I left the busy city behind and entered this calm and tranquil environment where nothing mattered.  After my relaxing mani/pedi with my very good friend Issa, I headed upstairs to have a consultation with the fabulous hair stylist, Lee Hairston where I was provided with tons of great advice on how to tame and work with my extremely curly unruly hair.  Lee was absolutely amazing and I left his salon with a much better appreciation for my locks. Beyond the relaxation and spa treatments, SpaCatchi is a great place for anyone looking for a nice Day Spa to be pampered by yourself, with friends or to spend a special Mother & Daughter day. With that said, SpaCatchi is offering one Hecho Para Mamá mother/daughter pair a free mani/pedi to serve as a great way to spend time with your child, to talk and share stories. Along with this giveaway you will find some exclusive beauty tips below from SpaCatchi co-owner, Chioma Valcourt. Beauty Rules! Less is more: The key word is subtle. Makeup should appear fresh, young and clean. And always blend, lines are no good! Makeup should look very soft and natural. Skin: Take good care of your skin. Clean, tone and moisturize. It’s a good idea to start early and develop excellent habits when dealing with daily grooming. A clear complexion requires very little makeup. Lips: Sheer or light pigmented glosses are best. Lip sticks are much too heavy and age a young girl. Eyes:Heavy/dark eye make-up is a big no no for a young lady. Natural colors are best: beige, soft peach, coral and butternut are great colors.  Stay away from heavy eyeliner and mascara. Application:  It’s not just about what you wear; it’s how you wear it. It’s important to show your daughter how to properly apply make-up.  70% of making sure make up looks great and natural is knowing how to wear it the right way.  If, as a parent, you don’t know the rules, take her to a make-specialist for a consultation. So what are you waiting for? Immerse yourself in beauty, harmony and serenity at SpaCatchi Giveaway Details: To win, simply leave a comment below telling me what’s your most memorable Mother/Daughter moment so far.  The contest ends Thursday, November 4th, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST.
