How Verizon FiOS Changed How We Watch TV

This is a sponsored post, written by me on behalf of Verizon FiOS, opinions are my own.

Back when I was growing up in the mid-80’s, I remember watching my favorite shows on a picture tube TV (similar to the one pictured).  It had two knobs, the infamous UHF bunny ears, 12 channels and no remote control.

A few years later, we upgraded to cable and got ourselves a set top box. Black, with one large knob, which can only be turned in one direction, and if you went too fast and missed the channel you would have to turn the knob all the way around again to get back to the channel you wanted to watch.

In those days our TV experience was controlled by what we could see, how we can view our favorite movies and shows and where we can watch them.

Fast-forward twenty plus years later, and all that is nothing but a distant memory.

Companies like Verizon FiOS, allow us, the user, to control just about every aspect of our TV viewing experience. With a variety of services and plans, including a Spanish language plan, we can choose what will work for us. We are no longer tied to one-size fits all viewing model of the past.

From DVR’s options to choose what and when we want to watch, a choice of up 60,000 Video On Demand movies to choose from, and super fast Internet speeds allowing you to view your favorite shows directly from your tablet, laptop, smartphone, or gaming console.

Verizon FiOS has made it that it easy to cater to their customers without compromising quality service and reliability.
